Success Stories so far

Ronnie has had his clarinet students participate in Annual National Honor Band in Indianna. The Annual CBDA All State Band, Alameda County Honor Band, The El Camino Youth Orchestra, and the CMEA Solo and Ensemble Festival

My Lesson Policy

I am available for 30 minute session or 45 minute lessons. I prefer that you pay cash or check, for lessons at the beginning of the month for the current month worth of lessons (ie. pay January 1st for all of January's lessons). If you need a receipt, please let me know before the at least week in advance. I require a 48 hour notice if you plan to cancel a lesson. If you do not show up to a scheduled lesson, you will still be charged. I will be happy to reschedule any make up lessons if you provide ample notice.   Supplies

  All students should have the following items for each lesson...

  • Bb Clarinet for lesson and practice (good condition)
  • Five new #2 clarinet reeds
  • lesson books (recommended by instructor) ie. - Progessing Clarinet (by Lester), Rubank Elementary Method, The Really Big Student Songbook, or Level-Appropriate Duet books
  • Pencil
  • Cork grease
  • Clarinet swab
  • metronome / /tuner
  • Clarinet stand (optional)
  • Music stand for home practice (optional)

Clarinet Lesson Outline

Purpose - Teaching and nurturing all students by developing the tools that allow the student to successfully understand making music with the clarinet. Lesson Structure will generally focus on these five core components - technique, articulation, breathing, theory, and listening. A practice assignment will be assigned per each weekly lesson.
